Built in 1907 in a striking Gothic style, our landmark building first opened its doors as a grand space for prayer and service. With its rare pipe organ and what was then the world’s largest poured-concrete dome, the space has long stood as a testament to both architectural beauty and spiritual aspiration.
In 2010, the Art of Living Foundation lovingly rededicated the space—transforming it into a vibrant urban sanctuary for Southern California. Today, the Art of Living Dome stands as a center for meditation, wisdom, cultural dialogue, and community upliftment, right in the heart of Los Angeles.
Though it reflects the grace and grandeur of a historic church, the space carries no religious symbolism—welcoming individuals and groups of all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions. Many find a deep sense of peace and belonging here, whether attending a class, hosting an event, or simply experiencing the stillness beneath the dome.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a narrow Gothic-style vestibule and vaulted ceiling, which opens into a spacious reception foyer—that is often used for off-site meetings, gatherings, and luncheons. From the foyer, twin staircases curve elegantly beneath the massive dome, leading into the main hall. Two additional staircases provide access to the rear of the auditorium, offering flexible flow for a variety of events.
This is more than an epic building—it’s a place to breathe, to gather, and to reconnect with yourself and your community.
