We Invite you warmly! Upanishads 2012 • April 20-22, Los Angeles
‘Upanishad means sitting close to the master, physically and mentally. By sitting close to the Master you catch on to that which is inexpressible’ – Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
The Upanishads are a part of the Vedas which contain the ancient wisdom of living life in higher states of consciousness, and are considered the pinnacle of this ancient knowledge. But the words are only part of the experience. Upanishad is a Sanskrit word that means “sitting close.” When a master who abides in divine awareness expounds this knowledge, that wisdom is transmitted as a direct experience.
In this unique series, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will unveil the often inaccessible philosophy of the Upanishads in sessions suited to the spiritual seeker, the scholar and the layperson alike. These talks will bring out the wisdom of the Upanishads in a way that they make them relevant to our lives today. The result is practical wisdom that transforms the listener and instills a deep sense of peace and happiness into our lives.
Last year, Sri Sri gave a profound commentary on one of the key Upanishads. Those new to Sri Sri’s teachings and familiar with his wisdom all found the event unparalleled in terms of the depth of knowledge and time spent in his presence.
